  • New litter, look at the colors!

The newest litter of chorkie pups was born May 18th, three females and two males. These ones are 7/8 Chihuahua and oh boy did they bring some fun colors!

These little cuties will be ready to go in July, and we’ll share more of the cuteness as they get bigger and more active. Eyes are starting to open now, so it won’t be long before they are bouncing around and showing us their personalities!

Parents are Gemini (from our own JellyBean) and Echo of Mini Kennels.

    Mom: Gemini, 3/4 Chihuahua Chorkie
Dad: Echo, long-haired Chihuahua from Mini Kennels

If you would like to find out more or explore adopting one of these little Chihuahua-Chorkies, contact us here or text Jesse at (250) 876-1851.

  • Puppies are Ready!

Our little trio of Chorkie pups have hit the 8-week mark and are ready to find their new homes! They are all the spitting image of their mom and the cutest little things bouncing around the yard playing with the kids and other dogs

The pups have spent a lot of time with the kids, so are very familiar with children and will be a great addition to a family with littles.

“Butterball”, male Chorkie, biggest of the bunch!
    “Pattycake”, male Chorkie
“PingPong”, female Chorkie, smallest of the bunch and spitting image of their mom, JellyBean

If you would like to adopt one of these pups, or would like more pictures or videos, you can email Jesse at hello@chorkies.ca or text (250) 876-1851.

  • New Chorkie Puppies!

JellyBean had her puppies on March 14th, two boys and one girl. All of them are the typical black/brown yorkie colors, though the big boy has a tiny bit of white on his chest. These cuties are 1/4 Chihuahua and 3/4 Yorkie. Here they are one day after birth:

Big Brother was born first and has continued to be first in all things – first to open his eyes and ears, first to venture out of the cage. He is the biggest and rolly-polliest of the bunch!

Little Brother was born second and is the smallest of the bunch, with Sister born last and in the middle size-wise.

Little Brother is already making up for his smaller size with his fiesty-ness, while Sister is the shy and quiet one, more likely to stay in the cage napping while the two boys are out wrestling and exploring.

This week, their cage got an upgrade to add a pen so they can come out and explore, so I’ll be working to capture more pictures of them out playing and doing their thing so you can see a bit more of what they are like.

Around here, pups get lots of cuddles and attention. The kids are always eager to visit or cuddle the puppies, and often it will include the whole Chorkie fam! JellyBean (mom) on right and Gemini (big sis from last litter) on the left. Everyone loves to get in on those cuddles!

It’s amazing how fast they grow! They are now a month old and well on their way to being bouncy, playful pups ready to take on the world. Already getting their first tastes of kibble and water. Their little barks and growls are adorable, and the kids are already asking when they can go outside to play with them! (Not for a few weeks yet…)

In just a few weeks (late May) these pups will be ready to find their new homes, so if you would like to explore the possibility of adopting one, send us a message and let us know. You can also subscribe below and get updates via email to follow their progress.

  • Next Litter to Watch for!

We are getting excited for the next litter of pups, due to arrive sometime in the next week-ish. This will be JellyBean’s second litter.

These pups will be more Yorkie than Chihuahua – 3/4 Yorkie to 1/4 Chihuahua, sired by Tux from Mini Kennels.

JellyBean – mom of upcoming Chorkie litter
Tux – dad of upcoming Chorkie litter

I expect these pups to have more of the Yorkie coloring, but it’s always fun to see what shows up! We’ll update here once they have arrived so you can meet them.
